sle Thanks for your reply - I do find that econap sometimes surprises me by going to sleep when I didn't expect it, or staying awake when I thought it would sleep. The description on the General tab says "Wait this long before checking usage and starting standby." I do recommend changing it... Either "Sleep when the computer has been idle for this length of consecutive time" or consider using two or three averages ... Not just the last minute, but the last 1, 5, and 15 minutes (or something like that). Suppose the computer is very busy for 14 minutes and checks every 10 minutes, and then it's slow for a minute which happens to be the same minute when it checks... I should think it should wait a little longer before sleeping... Either by requiring a 10 minute consecutive period of idle time, or by using the averages over a longer period of time than just one minute and taking that into consideration.
Overall, I do think econap is very good, and I was happy to pay for it. :-)
